Tokiso TKay Nthebe is the author of the personal finance book titled ‘Let’s Change The Script: Chelete Ha Se Parcel!’, a Financial Services Advisor and member of the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa.
He founded his company TKO Financial Wellness & Advisory, which provides financial wellness and financial coaching programs to help professionals and entrepreneurs better manage their money, save and plan for the future. He has over a decade of working experience in banking, asset management and telecommunications in corporate Lesotho.
He currently serves as the Principal Officer of the Lesotho Employers Pension/Provident Umbrella Fund sponsored by Alliance Insurance Company, an Independent Trustee of the Nedbank Lesotho Pension Fund and lectures Financial Planning and Pension Funds at the National University of Lesotho (NUL) in the Faculty of Law.
He is also an avid content creator and a regular contributor to print and web publications where he writes widely on personal finance. Currently, Tokiso is a columnist for Leruo, a financial education platform via print, radio and digital platforms sponsored by Alliance Insurance Company. Tokiso has facilitated several financial wellness programs, financial coaching and pre-retirement sessions for brands such as Alliance Insurance, STANLIB Lesotho, Metropolitan Lesotho, FNB Lesotho, World Vision, Lesotho lectricity And Water Authority (LEWA), Nedbank Lesotho, Standard Lesotho Bank and Liqhobong in Lesotho and across the continent.
Tokiso also founded TKO Consultancy (Pty), a management consultancy firm and House of Ice (Pty) which manufactures ice and distributes it to retailers in Maseru. He holds a Master of Commerce (MCom) in Financial Management from the University of Pretoria and co-authored an academic journal article, published in the Journal of Economic and Financial Sciences (JFE) with the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He completed a postgraduate diploma in Financial Planning Law and a financial coaching course with the School of Financial Planning at the University of Free State.
Tokiso is a speaker corporate Master of Ceremony (MC), Mandela Washington Fellow Alumnus (2019) and travel content creator who enjoys sharing his travel tips through his website, YouTube channel and travel podcast – Escapes With TKay.
